200 hectares of forest burning because of a battle vehicle falling off a plane


ULAN-UDE, June 18. /TASS/. 200 hectares of forest burning in the suburbs of Ulan-Ude near a military training site and military warehouses. The fire occurred due to a BMD falling from a plane with a parachute, said a law enforcement source to TASS.

According to the National Forestry Agency the fire area is about 200 hectares. Fire fighters and forest guards are involved. “There is no data about evacuation yet, as there is no solid information about the threat of fire transition to a military warehouse” – explained spokesman Alexander Egorov.
