Iran refuses to buy “falling” Russian planes

TEHRAN, July 26. Iranian fleet of passenger planes won’t be renewed with Russian planes.

Iranian airlines are not interested in buying Russian aircrafts, said the secretary of the national airlines association Magsud Asadi Samani.

According to him, considering not very positive characteristics of Russian aircrafts, carriers are not interested in buying them, says the ISNA agency.

The reason for this refusal is several “Tupolev” airplane crashes, explained Samani.

Iran requires 400 passenger planes for the fleet modernization. Nearly $20 billion is required to achieve that goal.

This is really heartbreaking news. I hope Russian planes will improve someday so that the Iranians can be happy with their friends.
