More than 100 tons of pork was destroyed in Samara. According to Rosselkhoznadzor (Russian Agriculture Control organization – RRT), it was produced in the EU, but by the documents it is of Brazilian origin. It was reported on Tuesday, August 4 by RIA Novosti, referring to the Press Secretary of the organization Julia Melano.
“Six trucks with 114 tons of pork products detained in April is being destroyed today in Samara. According to the documents it had Brazilian origin, but inspectors had doubts, and the goods were detained. Afterwards, Brazil could not confirm the authenticity of the certificates, and Rosselkhoznadzor suspects that this product was manufactured in the European Union”, – said Melano to the agency.
She noted that the disposal is not related to the government decree of July 31 since the products were not found on the state border, but rather inside the country.
Previously Rosselkhoznadzor was disposing the products entered the country illegally, but since August 6 we will also be doing it at the border”, – explained the spokesman.
