Peter Pavlensky is detained for setting the door of FSB on fire (video)


A artist Peter Pavlensky was detained in Moscow on suspicion of hooliganism. Pavlensky was detained on Lubyanka Square after he set fire to the door of the FSB building.

Journalist Vladimir Romny and Nigina Beroeva were detained along with him, but later they were released. A video of the action was posted on Vimeo. Photo report of the action was posted by blogger Ilya Varlamov.


According to Pavlensky, FSB operates in Russia by “methods of continuous terror”. He called his campaign “a glove that society throws in the face of the terrorist threat”.
