On Saturday December 19 a NATO fighter aircraft intercepted Russian military plane near the border of Latvia again.

“NATO’s air police on December 19 identified and intercepted IL-20 owned by Russian army in international airspace over the Baltic Sea near the border of Latvia,” – said the Latvian National Armed Forces on Twitter.

It was noted that the air space of any of the Baltic countries had not been violated.

A similar incident happened on December 17. That time NATO fighters intercepted an An-72 belonging to the Russian army.
