Maduro asks Obama to lift sanctions against Venezuela

The President of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro addressed the US President Barack Obama with a request to lift sanctions as a gesture of goodwill, reports Excelsior.

“I hope that President Obama will cancel the decree on sanctions against Venezuela, and accept credentials from Maximilian Sanchez Arvelaiz to show good will to establish good relations with Venezuela, ALBA, and the whole of Latin America,” – he said.

Sanctions against Venezuela were introduced by the USA in March 2015 because of the US concerns about the situation in the country.

Earlier it was reported that Venezuela creates a “socialist system of business”.
