Assad’s forces in Syria continue shelling Turkman villages


The forces of the regime of Bashar al-Assad continues to bombard the regions Turkmandagy and Jabal al-Akrad in the Latakia province, and towns in Idlib province.

According to recent reports, mortar attacks on settlements controlled by the Syrian opposition that started the day before, intensified today, with the support from the air.

It was reported that the road Idlib-Latakia, villages Aubin, Al-Tyuffahiya, Bdama, Kbeyne, Knidde in the Jabal al-Akrad region, and villages Kelez, Karaman, Sarraf, Sallur, Chyumeren in Turkmandagy got under attack.

In many settlements severe clashes continue between the regime of Bashar al-Assad, and the opposition.

The sounds of explosions are heard in district Yayladağı of the Turkish province of Hatay.

Clubs of smoke rising above the villages can be seen in Turkey with the naked eye.

An agreement on a partial and temporary ceasefire came into force at midnight on February 27. However, Bashar al-Assad’s regime keep violating the agreement, shelling the areas Turkmandagy and its surroundings.
