Ukraine got the 8th place among the world’s top 10 exporters of butter and cheese. This was reported by the analytical department of the company Dykun, writes Agraverі information agency.
By the results of 2015/16 marketing year, Ukraine takes the 8th place in the export of butter, with the supply of 7,000 tons of it to foreign markets. This is 40% more than in years of 2014/15, and more than twice as more compared to the 2013/14. In the global exports structure Ukraine got 0.85%.
According to the State Fiscal Service, in 2015 the main markets were Morocco (18.9%), Azerbaijan (15.65%), and Egypt (15.16%).
In the world cheese market Ukraine also ranked 8th, with an export share of 0.6%. Thereby the loss in positions is demonstrated.
Compared with 2015/14 marketing year, cheese exports decreased by 47.36% (to 10,000 tons), and in comparison with 2013/14 it decreased by 5.9 times.
Starting from January 1, 2016 an agreement on a free trade zone between Ukraine and the EU came into force. Starting with the first day of the new year Ukrainian Customs issued nearly a thousand EUR.1 certificates to domestic exporters, for supplying goods to the European Union.
