A blast in Ankara, many victims (video)

On Sunday, March 13 as a result of an explosion in Ankara (Turkey) 27 people were killed, and more than 75 injured.

“The explosion occurred at 20:45 local time at the bus stop next to the public garden Güven Park in the heart of Ankara at the time it was crowded. 23 people were killed at the scene, 4 more died on the way to the hospital,” – reports Hurriyet Daily News.

According to law enforcements, a car bomb exploded at a bus stop at the time it was crowded.

Nearly 75 people were wounded by the blast.

At the moment, the police cordoned off the scene, ambulances come to the area, firefighters deal with the fire.

It was noted that the Supreme Council (RTÜK) banned broadcasting of the images of the scene and the victims.

In addition, it became known that the US earlier warned its citizens about a possible terrorist attack in Ankara.

“The US Embassy informs US citizens that it disposes information about potential terrorist plots to attack the Turkish government buildings and housing, located in the districts of Ankara. US citizens should avoid this area,” – said in the statement.

It should be noted that this is the third terroristic act since October 2015 in the Turkish capital.

There is currently no information about affected Ukrainians. The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko was shocked by the attack, and said that terrorism can not be justified. He also expressed his support to the Turkish people.
