Ukraine has successfully tested missiles of entirely domestic production (video)


“Ukroboronprom” together with Ukrainian scientists were able to start production of missiles without participation of Russian companies.

A successful test of a missile of Ukrainian production, created without the participation of Russian companies, and without use of Russian components was performed today. It was reported by the press service of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine.

NSDC Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov, who was present at the site during the trial, said that the restoration of the missile shield is “one of the priorities for defense and security of our country”.

He noted that the government company “Ukroboronprom” together with Ukrainian scientists were able to launch production of missiles without any help from Russian companies.

“We started fire test of missiles of Ukrainian production, and today’s launch showed that our missiles perform assigned tasks, and hit the planned goals precisely,” – Turchynov said, stressing that unlike the Russian analogue, Ukrainian missiles are managed, “which allows it greatly improve the efficiency of application”.

After successful tests, a meeting was held, where the Secretary of the NSDC, leading designers and managers of defense enterprises, who produce Ukrainian missiles together, clarified the schedule of further tests, and discussed setting up mass production.

In early March, the National Security and Defense Council Secretary of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov announced test launches of missiles, created exclusively by Ukrainian producers without any participation of Russian companies.

It should also be noted that Turchynov informed on the development of new types of weapons. He said it at the presentation of new weaponry projects and unmanned aircraft systems.

“Our task is to develop the newest powerful weapon that will protect our citizens. The country needs new modern weapons, which will protect Ukraine from the aggressor, stop, and, if necessary, destroy it,” – said the secretary of the NSDC.
