Deputy director of Federal Drug Control Service is wanted by Spain

A source, familiar with the situation, told Rosbalt that the judge of the Central Investigative Court #5 of Spain Jose De la Mata Amaya supposes that Nikolai Aulov was involved in the activities of a criminal group, which, according to Spain, was headed by a “criminal authority” Gennady Petrov.

As a result, a decision to arrest Aulov was made, and he was declared as a wanted person. The materials on the deputy director of the Federal Drug Control Service were transferred to the headquarters of Interpol, which has already launched an international investigation.

It was noted that Aulov was never questioned, he never had a status of a suspect or accused, and the materials do not contain any preconditions to his prosecution.

“This decision is purely political by its nature,” – believes the sources of the agency.

Earlier, Spain issued an international arrest warrant for the Russian State Duma deputy Vladislav Reznik. His lawyers appealed this decision.

On December 17, 2015, a judge of the Central Investigative Court #5 Jose De la Mata Amaya pressed charges against 26 citizens of Russia and Spain, including “authority” Gennady Petrov, State Duma deputy Vladislav Reznik, and his wife Diana Gindin. All of them are charged with participation in a criminal organization and money laundering.
