Iran offered help to Azerbaijan in Karabakh conflict


Iran supports the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan

The Minister of Defence of Iran Hossein Dehghan offered his Azerbaijani counterpart Zakir Hasanov help in resolving the Karabakh conflict. It was reported by the Defense Ministry press service of Azerbaijan.

In particular, Dehghan said this during a phone call with Hasanov, when they discussed tensions on the contact line between Armenian and Azerbaijani armed forces.

Dehghan noted that Iran supports the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, and expressed hope that the Karabakh conflict will be resolved in the short term within the framework of international law, the report says.

Earlier, Georgia declared its readiness to organize the negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan to resolve the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh.
