Israel will open its office in the headquarters of NATO


Leaders of the North Atlantic Alliance (NATO) announced that it will allow Israel to open its representative office in the organization’s headquarters in Brussels.

The decision was made under pressure from the USA, Canada and Germany. A similar resolution was received by Jordan and Bahrain.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu thanked NATO for the decision, calling it an important contribution to the security of Israel.

Meanwhile, Israel‘s ambassador to the EU David Walzer said that Turkey lifted a veto on Israeli Defense Forces’ participation in exercises and operations of NATO.

The announcement was made during the ambassador’s speech before members of European representatives of the American Jewish Committee.

According to NRG portal, at the moment the official confirmation of this information was not received by Jerusalem, so they refuse to comment on it.
