Turkey will build power plants worth $4.2 billion in Iran


As reported by Reuters, Turkish energy company Unit International agreed with the Ministry of Energy of Iran on the construction of 7 gas-fired power plants with the total cost of $4.2 billion.

It was noted that the plants will be built in 7 different regions of Iran. Their total capacity will be 6,020 megawatts. The beginning of the construction is planned for the first quarter of 2017.

According to the agency, the agreement on the construction of gas power plants was signed by the parties on June 1 in Tehran.
