French authorities deport entire delegation of Russian Fans Union

French police announced its intention to deport the entire delegation of the Russian Fans Union (RFU). This was said by the head of the organization Alexander Shprygin.

The bus of RFU with 29 to 50 people (by various estimates) was blocked on Tuesday, June 14 by French special forces on its way to Lille, where the game between Russia and Slovakia takes place on June 15.

“We were told that the whole bus will be deported, but we are waiting for the consul. We are threatened with force. This is natural ugliness, why deport the official fans group who took no part in the riots in Marseille. We believe that this is a plain simple showing off”, Shprygin said.

The head of RFU also wrote on Twitter that the French authorities said that 29 people will be deported at any case. The decision can be appealed “only later”.

Shprygin noted that there were flags, banners, and a huge canvas in the bus, which were planned to be used at the game with Slovakia.
