Great Britain voted in favor of quitting EU


The majority of the UK citizens voted in favor of the Kingdom to quit the European Union.

According to The Guardian, 52% (or nearly 16.5 million people) voted in favor of quitting. 48% (or 15.3 million) voted against it. These results do not include data from 10 regions out of nearly 400. According to BBC, these data mean victory of supporters of UK leaving the EU.

The turnout in the referendum was about 72 percent, which is the highest in the elections in the UK since the early 1990s.
