Long jumper Darya Klishina refused to return to Russia

Russian athlete Darya Klishina intends to continue training in the United States after the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

“I will continue to train in America, not going to change anything. As for my further plans, I have a couple starts after the Games, then I’m going to rest a little, and then get back to training,” said the athlete.

Darya Klishina, who was the only Russian athlete participating in the Games, took the 9th place in the long jump with the result of 6.63 meters.

Klishina trains in the U.S. starting from 2013.
