The USA is ready to withdraw from the negotiations with Russia on coordinating action in Syria if they fail to reach an agreement on their terms.
According to Interfax referring to the U.S. media, this was stated by a source in the U.S. presidential administration.
“Currently, there is clarity on the positions of both sides, and in the coming days we will know if we can reach an agreement that can be implemented quickly. If we do not get an agreement the way we want, we will stop these attempts,” said a source from the White House.
According to him, a meeting of the U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and Foreign Minister of Russia Sergei Lavrov is expected soon. The source added that the United States intends to reach an agreement as soon as possible in view of the humanitarian situation.
