Poland decided to exhume all victims of Smolensk disaster


A special team of investigators of the Polish Prosecutor’s Office decided on the exhumation of the victims of the Smolensk disaster, which killed Polish President Lech Kaczynski in 2010.

According to radio station RMF FM, all the bodies will be exhumed, including those been through this procedure before.

New experts joined Polish investigators. As the official representative of the Prosecutor’s Office Ewa Bialik told the radio station, “contacts with renowned research centers in Europe are established in order to perform additional research and expertise”, without specifying the kind of experts, or research.

The radio station emphasized that the prosecution had not released the list and the order of exhumation work.

According to unofficial information, four families of victims were informed about the oncoming events.
