The Pentagon has officially announced that according to intelligence reports, the attack on the UN humanitarian convoy in Aleppo, which killed at least 15 people, was performed by Russian air force.
“We refute Russia’s lies that the convoy suffered from a fire accident,” said in the Pentagon.
Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry rejected the involvement of both the Russian and Syrian aircraft in the attack near Aleppo. Initially, Moscow indicated that they did not find any signs of air strike.
“Everything demonstrated on the video is a direct consequence of the fire in the cargo, which in a strange way happened at the same time with a large-scale offensive of militants on Aleppo,” said the official representative of the Ministry of Defence Igor Konashenkov.
At the same time, a number of Western reporters provided photos, showing fragments of Russian bombs OFAB-250-270 near the bombed vehicles.
