White House: Russia failed military intervention in Syria

A representative of the White House Josh Ernest expressed an opinion that Russian military failed to achieve goals that were set during their operations in Syria, including repelling terrorists of the Islamic State.

“The objectives of the military intervention have not been achieved,” he said.

He also added that the Russian military “failed to make significant progress in the fight against the ISIS, as well as in uniting the international community in the fight against terrorism in Syria“.

“We see that Russia alone, working only with Iran, is trying to help the Assad regime”, summarized Ernest.
