NASA launched Antares rocket partially developed in Ukraine


On Tuesday, October 18, NASA performed a successful launch of an Antares rocket into space. The first stage of the rocket was developed in Ukraine.

The launch was broadcast live on NASA’s channel on YouTube.

The booster has sent 2.5 tons of cargo to the International Space Station (ISS): food supplies and materials for scientific research, in particular, fuel combustion in weightlessness.

The man structure of the first stage of Antares was developed by Ukrainian Yuzhnoye Design Bureau in cooperation with the Makarov Machine-Building Plant, Hartron Arcos, Kievpribor, Rapid Cezara, and Zaporozhye Hartron-Ucom.
