Three Turkish soldiers were killed by an air strike of Syrian government forces, reports Reuters referring to Turkish military.
It was added that 10 more soldiers were injured. They were immediately evacuated from the fighting scene. The attack occurred at 3:30 am local time during a joint operation of Turkey and the rebels in the north of Syria.
In August, Turkey launched a military Operation Euphrates Shield in Syria with the support of the Free Syrian Army (FSA). Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan explained that the operation is directed against ISIS and “terrorist groups of Syrian Kurds that threaten Turkey.” In early October, the Turkish parliament extended the mandate of the armed forces to carry out operations in the neighboring country by one year.
