Russians are among suspected of involvement in terror attack in Istanbul


Turkish police detained 40 people investigating the terrorist attack in Istanbul.

According to Dogan agency, detentions took place in different parts of the province of Izmir. There are nearly 20 minors among the detained, mostly natives of Dagestan (Russia), as well as citizens of Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan.

The detainees are suspected in connections with the Islamic State, which claimed responsibility for the attack in Istanbul.

Also, family members of the alleged perpetrator of the terrorist act were also detained. They categorically deny that they knew of his plans.
