Syrian army said Israel fired missiles at military airport near Damascus

The command of the Syrian army said that Israel struck at the military airport near Damascus.

Syria said the missiles were fired from the area near Lake Tiberias in northern Israel.

Syrian military called the attack “flagrant” and promised to respond to the attack.

In December Syrian military told about Israeli ground-to-ground missiles strike near Damascus. The Times of Israel noted that there were forces of Hezbollah around Damascus, which Israel considers a terrorist organization. In Syria Hezbollah supports president Bashar Assad’s regime.
