After meeting with Putin president of Moldova refused to recognize Crimea as part of Russia

President of Moldova Igor Dodon during his visit to Moscow could not repeat his words that the Crimea is part of Russia. He carefully explained that Moldova can not officially recognize it since it will worsen relations with Ukraine.

According to TASS, he assured that his own position on the Crimea has not changed and will not change, but Moldova needs to build friendly relations with Ukraine.

“Nobody in Moldova would risk to make official statements on the recognition of certain things,” explained Dodon. He also added that the Transnistrian problem needs to be resolved.
