Poland received JASSM high-precision cruise missiles from USA

First JASSM extended range missiles arrived at the air base Krzesiny in Poznan (Poland) from the USA.

This was announced by Deputy Minister of Defence of Poland Bartosz Kovnatsky.

The Ministry of National Defence of the country signed an agreement for the purchase of modern American missiles of types JASSM and JASSM-ER, which can perform maneuvers at distances up to 1,000 kilometers and hit targets on the ground. The missiles are intended to be used by F-16 fighters deployed at the bases in Poznan and the town of Łask near Lodz.

As it was announced in the U.S. State Department after it agreed to sign a contract with Poland, the deal “will strengthen the security of an important U.S. ally in NATO.”
