Donald Trump: Russia must return Crimea to Ukraine

The White House spokesman Sean Spicer said that the U.S. President Donald Trump made it clear regarding the occupied Crimea: Russia must return it.

This was reported on February 14th by Reuters.

“President Trump has made it very clear that he expects the Russian government to de-escalate violence in Ukraine and return the Crimea,” said Spicer at a daily news briefing.

At the same time, Spicer noted that Trump “fully expects to and wants to get along with Russia.”

In January Trump said that it is “very early” to be talking about lifting sanctions against Russia. Also, on February 14th the U.S. president’s national security adviser Michael Flynn resigned from his position because he misled Vice President Mike Pence about his phone calls with a Russian diplomat.
