Lavrov: Russia will not lift sanctions against EU before Minsk protocol is implemented


During his speech at the Munich security conference Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Moscow will not lift sanctions agains the EU until the Minsk agreement is fully implemented.

“You need to understand that we also want Minsk protocol to be implemented, and we will not lift our sanctions against the EU until then,” Lavrov said.

Earlier the minister said there is no alternative to the Minsk agreements. At the same time Lavrov noted that the main goal is not just to improve the situation in the Donbass, but the full implementation of the Minsk agreements.
