One of founders of “Donetsk People’s Republic” died in Donetsk

One of the former leaders of the “Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Donetsk People’s Republic” Boris Borisov said that one of the founders of the DPR Vladimir Makovich died on March 12th in Donetsk.

It was reported by separatists’ media ‘News of Donbass’ with reference to the message of Borisov.

“They write that Makovich died in Donetsk. In case you don’t know, this is that exact person who on April 7th of 2014 read to ‘the declaration of the independence of the Donetsk People’s Republic’ to the people,” he said.

Makovich is also known as the person who sent an appeal to oligarch Rinat Akhmetov in May 2014, after Akhmetov predicted 4 possible scenarios for the Donbass further development, and called the DPR “crooks who took the whole region as hostages”.

For a certain period of time Makovich was the head of the so-called “Verkhovna Rada (the Parliament – RRT) of the DPR”.
