U.S. military commander in Europe calls for lethal weapons for Ukraine

The commander of the United States European Command, and Supreme Commander of NATO Allied Command Operations, General Curtis Scaparotti called for supplying lethal defensive weapons to Ukraine.

He said that during the hearings in the House of Representatives of the Congress.

“I personally believe we need to consider lethal defensive weapons for Ukraine. They are fighting a very lethal, tough enemy,” Scaparotti said.

In February 2016 at a PACE meeting, as well as at the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, Ukrainian delegation presented evidence of Russian military aggression in Ukraine. Among the materials there was a report of the international volunteer community InformNapalm on modern types of weapons that Russia uses against Ukraine in the Donbas.
