The United States notified Japan about their intention to attack North Korea if China fails to force them to cease its nuclear missile program.
The State Department spokesman said that there are only two options: either Beijing increases pressure, or Washington strikes. In this regard Tokyo expressed their concern over the fact that Japan and South Korea might become targets for retaliatory strikes.
North Korea has recently made serious progress in its military programs and, in particular, is close to the creation of an intercontinental ballistic missile capable of hitting American territory.
At the present time, an attack group of the US Navy headed by the nuclear aircraft carrier Carl Vinson is moving towards the Korean Peninsula.
