Regional manager of SberBank detained in Vnukovo airport for stealing a watch

According to preliminary data, a watch Hublot King Power Limited Edition worth more than $10,000 was stolen in the VIP zone of the airport.

Regional manager of Sberbank of Russia Igor Rogozhin was detained at Vnukovo airport in Moscow on suspicion of stealing an expensive watch Hublot King Power Limited Edition worth more than $10,000. As it became known to media, the incident occurred in late March. One of the passengers left the watch in a tray during his passing through the inspection zone. Rogozhin followed him, noticed the watch in the tray, picked it up, and put it in his pocket.

The police identified the suspect after reviewing records from surveillance cameras. Rogozhin was detained when he was returning from a business trip. As he explained later, he was going to return the watch to the police upon arrival at the airport of Rostov-on-Don, where he went on business.

The detained was told that he should have go to a local police department immediately, or bring the expensive item to the airport staff, which he failed to do. As Rogozhin explained, he just did not know about this possibility. At the moment of his detention the watch was at his wrist.

“It’s too early to make any comments, we are looking into the situation,” said in the press service of the SberBank.
