Vehicle of FSB deadly hit traffic police officer in Moscow


A Mercedes of executive class with a beacon and license plates of the FSB of Russia killed a traffic police inspector in Moscow. It was reported by a source in law enforcement agencies, and confirmed in the Moscow Police Department.

According to the source, the accident occurred in a dedicated traffic lane. A Mercedes with a flashing beacon on the roof was going at a very high speed in a dedicated lane, bypassing a traffic jam. There it hit a traffic police officer, who died at the scene from received injuries.

“Officers of some special service, who arrived at the scene, quickly removed license plates from the car, but a few witnesses managed to notice them. Officers of the Investigative Committee of Russia arrived promptly to the scene of the incident, they are processing it now,” said the source.

The official representative of the capital’s head office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed the information about the death of a traffic police officer.

“On September 25 at about 10:00 pm the driver of a Mercedes car hit a traffic police officer on Novy Arbat Street. As a result, the officer died at the scene from the injuries received. Currently, the investigative and operational group is working on the scene, all the circumstances of the incident are being established,” said the representative of the Moscow Interior Ministry.

He refrained from any other comments.
