Roskomnadzor (Russian controlling service over telecommunications – RRT) added WeChat messaging service into the register of prohibited websites based on the Federal Law “On Information, Information Technologies, and Information Protection”.
Roskomnadzor has officially added BlackBerry Messenger (BBM), Imo, Line and VChat into the register of banned services because they refused to register as “information distributors”.
