A bomber Su-34 flipped over while landing at the Buturlinovka airport in Voronezh region, reported a source from force agencies to RIA Novosti.
“Preliminary results show serious damage but no fire. The plane was making a test flight,”- a spokesman said.
As Defense Ministry reported to RIA Novosti, the accident took place at 16:30 MSK and was caused by the brake parachute that didn’t open. As a result, the aircraft was not able to slow down and drove off the runway.
Nobody was hurt, no damage was made to the ground. The plane, in particular, has broken landing gear, damaged a wind and dented the fuselage. This is the first flight accidents with Su-34 aircraft in Russian Air Force.
