Families of “Lokomotov” hockey club members who died in airplane crash were paid 26,000 rubles ($500) by insurance company

Basmanny Court of Moscow ordered the insurance company to pay 26,000 rubles ($500) of compensation for the case of a plane crash in Yaroslavl Region, reports “Gazeta.ru” referring to lawer agency “Trunov, Aivar and Partners”.

“The court decided to satisfy claims partially, and ordered to collect from the defendant – the insurance company JSC” Leksgarant “- in favour of each plaintiff the amount of insurance compensation of 25,000 rubles, and litigation costs 1,000 rubles. The rest of the demanded satisfaction was denied,”- said in a statement.

The initial request was to recover for the benefit of 11 victims 10 million rubles ($200,000) each.

“The court’s decision is illegal and unfounded, so we filed an appeal,” – said the lawyer.

The plane crash that killed hockey players of Yaroslavl “Locomotive” and almost all of the crew members took place in September 2011.
