Ukraine radically raised the price for gas transit for Russia’s Gazprom


Ukraine has raised the price for transit of Russian gas through its territory.

This was announced by the Director of Business Development of “Naftogaz Ukraine” Yuri Vitrenko on his page on Facebook.

“Ukraine has finally radically raised the transit rate for Gazprom (in full compliance with European principles), and long-term efforts of Gazprom to bypass Ukraine have found an adequate response,” – he said.

In was reported that the rate will increase from $2.7 to $12.47 per 1,000 cubic meters.

Earlier, Ukraine announced that it plans to raise the transit rate to $5 for the transportation of 1,000 cubic meters per 100 kilometres, instead of the current price of $ 2.7.
