European Parliament approved creating a tribunal for MH17

On January 21 the European Parliament welcomed the publication of the report made by the Security Council of the Netherlands on a downed Boeing over the Ukrainian region Donbass. In addition, the European Parliament has supported the decision to create an international criminal tribunal to investigate the crash, reports Korrespondent.Net.

The Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) called on Russia to cooperate with the international community to investigate of the crash, and bring the perpetrators to justice.

MEPs regretted the fact that Russia has decided to block a resolution in the UN Security Council to establish an international court for downed Boeing.

The crash of the Malaysian aircraft happened on July 17, 2014. It is assumed that it was hit by a missile “surface-to-air”. All 298 people on board were killed.
