3 shopping centres were evacuated in Moscow


Evacuation took place in 3 shopping malls in Moscow: Afimall, Atrium, and Mega “Belaya Dacha”. This was reported from the scene on Saturday February 13 by the correspondent of “Dozhd” (“The Rain”), as well as by Twitter users.

According to the correspondent of The Rain who was in the Afimall at the moment, police reported the evacuation of the shopping center due to technical reasons.

On Twitter users reported that there was a traffic jam at the exit of shopping centres.

On February 13, a casting for the contest “Miss Russia” should have started in Afimall.

Another correspondent of The Rain reported that customers are not allowed in the mall Atrium. Twitter users reported that there were people inside the mall.

“Interfax” reported that the reason for evacuation of shopping centers in Moscow were warning calls about bombs allegedly planted in them. According to TASS, Mega “Belaya Dacha” was evacuated for the same reason.

According to RIA Novosti, around 7,500 in total were evacuated: 2,000 from the Atrium, about 2,500 from Afimall, and about 3,000 from Mega.
