Lithuania deported journalists of TV channel “Russia”


As it was reported by, journalists of the Russian state TV channel “Russia”, who tried to illegally enter the event with the participation of representatives of Russian opposition, were included in the list of undesirable persons, and asked to leave Lithuania.

“Pavel Zarubin and his crew were included into the list of undesirable persons because of the threats to national security,” – confirmed a representative of the Department of State Security Vytautas Makauskas on Wednesday.

According to him, a total of 4 people were included in the list on Wednesday.

The information was also confirmed by journalist Bozhena Rynska on her Facebook page.

The journalist of the Russian state TV channel “Russia” Pavel Zarubin said by phone that they are under the supervision of migration officials, who made it clear that Russian journalists have to leave Lithuania with the next flight to Moscow.

“The official reason – a possible threat to national security,” – the journalist said.

Lithuanian officials and the media claim that the journalists became participants of several incidents in Vilnius and Trakai district.

They fraudulently tried to enter the event, which was attended by representatives of the Russian opposition and intelligentsia.
