Spain requested an international arrest warrant for Russian MP Reznik


At the request of Spanish authorities, Interpol issued an international arrest warrant for Russian member of parliament Vladislav Reznik, deputy from the party “United Russia”, reports RBC quoting a source in the deputy’s network. The lawyer of the deputy Alexander Gofshtein confirmed this information.

Currently there is no data about Reznik being wanted in the international police database.

Earlier on Saturday, March 12, the agency Rosbalt, citing an informed source, reported that Spain applied to the Interpol secretariat for the international search of the deputy.

According to the agency, on December 17 last year, a court in Spain accused 26 citizens of Russia and Spain of involvement in the Tambovskaya criminal group, and money laundering in the country. The crime boss Gennady Petrov and the deputy Vladislav Reznik are among the accused.

During interrogation held in Moscow, Reznik denied that he was that exact “Slava” Petrov was talking to on the phone. Rosbalt indicates that it is recording of telephone conversations of Petrov are the basis of the criminal case.
