Greece has to refuse tourists from Crimea

Greece can not accommodate tourists from the Crimea, as it contradicts the legislation of the European Union, reports RIA “Novosti”.

This was stated by the Consul General of Greece in Moscow Eleni Mihalopulu.

“Greece is a country of the European Union. For our part, we would receive tourists from Crimea with great pleasure, but Greece has to comply with the laws of the European Union,” – she said.

According to her, Greece can not deviate from the laws of the EU.

Earlier it was reported that the European Union calls upon the UN member countries to impose sanctions on Russia. The document states that the EU remains firmly committed to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and does not recognize Crimea’s accession to Russia.
