Kyiv aviation plant is ready to modernize aircraft to NATO standards


The State Enterprise Kyiv Aircraft Repair Plant was certified according to NATO AQAP 2120 for the modernization of An-26 aircraft under the standards of the North Atlantic Alliance.

The certificate allows the company to adopt Ukrainian transport aircraft to NATO standards.

During 2015, the company performed repair and maintenance of a dozen aircraft of “Antonov” family for Air Force and Navy of Ukrainian army, the National Guard, the State Service for Emergency Situations of Ukraine, and the Ministry of Defense of Hungary.

In April this year, the State Enterprise Kyiv Aircraft Repair Plant signed a contract with Egyptian Air Force for maintenance and adaptation of three An-74 to the requirements of the contracting countries, and is in talks with potential customers from NATO member countries.

According to the media, the net profit of the company for the last year exceeded 48 million UAH (approx. $2 million – RRT). The total income from all activities amounted to almost 2 billion UAH (approx. $80 million – RRT), which is 114% more than in 2014.
