Russian fans beat 3 Spaniards in Cologne

Six Russian fans were detained in Cologne for attacking Spanish citizens. This was reported by Deutsche Welle referencing to German media.

As a result of the attack, two Spaniards were seriously injured, and the third had a broken nose.

The incident occurred in the evening of June 16 at the square near the Cologne Cathedral. It was not specified what was the cause of the conflict. According to the police report, the Spaniards possessed of anti-fascist movement stickers.

According to the report, 7 Russians were involved in the attack. One of them escaped.

Russian fans were returning from the Euro 2016.

On June 16, Marseille court sentenced 3 Russian fans for participating in the riots during the European Championship. More than 20 Russians who came to France for the Euro 2016, were deported from the country.
