Britain’s exit from the European Union will not affect its support and assistance to Ukraine.
It was written by the British Ambassador to Ukraine Judith Gough in her blog “What does the referendum in the UK mean for our policy regarding Ukraine?”
According to her, the UK will continue to stand side-by-side with Ukraine.
“The UK will continue assisting Ukraine in the fight against corruption, in particular by supporting the Prosecutor General’s Office, and the National Anti-Corruption Office,” the ambassador said.
She recalled that in response to Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, the United Kingdom has played a leading role in the formation of a strong international response, including the sanctions and the policy of non-recognition of the illegal annexation of Crimea, and noted that the country will continue to support Ukraine on international markets.
Gough assured that British financing will further promote Ukraine‘s reform efforts, and providing humanitarian aid to those affected by the conflict (including those who moved internally) will continue.
