Oil production in Iran reached 3.8 million barrels per day


According to Iranian authorities, the oil production in Iran have increased by more than 1 million barrels per day in the last 3 years, and the export doubled since the beginning of the year.

As reported by the agency Shana, it was said by Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Zanganeh in his speech in parliament on Tuesday, June 14th.

The Minister noted that in 2013, at the beginning of the government of President Hassan Rouhani, the volume of oil production in Iran amounted to 2.7 million barrels per day, while the export figures were below 1 million barrels per day.

After removal of the main part of the official sanctions of the U.S. and the EU against Iran at the beginning of 2016, by the middle of 2016 the volume of Iranian oil exports reached 1.94 million barrels per day.
