Builders of Piter Arena went on spontaneous strike against unpaid salary


Builders of Krestovsky stadium, also known as the Piter Arena, went on strike. They hold a spontaneous rally.

Witnesses say that there are about 100 people on the site. Builders say they do not get paid for 2 months. Police doesn’t allow journalists into the stadium.

The press service of the company ETS-SPb, which is building the stadium, told the correspondent of Rosbalt that they do not have any information about the protests.

The Piter Arena is being built since 2007. During this time, the cost has grown 6 times greater than the original estimate.
