IOC banned Vitaly Mutko from coming to Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro

As reported by AFP, the International Olympic Committee has banned Russian Sports Minister Vitaly Mutko from the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

It was also reported that the IOC Executive Board endorsed the proposal to abolish the “presumption of innocence” for Russian athletes regarding doping.

Earlier it was reported that the IOC will not organize or patronize competitions in Russia.

In particular, this applies to the plans for the European Olympic Games in Russia in 2019.

The measure is temporary, and valid until December 31, 2016. The decision may be reviewed at the meeting of the IOC Executive Board in December.
