Mayor of Istanbul wants to create “graveyard for traitors” for coup plotters

Istanbul Mayor Kadir Topbaş plans to create a special graveyard, where dead participants of the attempted military coup will be buried. The mayor hopes that all who come close to their graves will be cursing them.

Mayor of Istanbul Kadir Topbaş said that the city authorities have allocated a space for a cemetery for those coup participants who were killed during the attempted military coup, reports Hurriyet Daily News.

“I ordered to allocate space and call it ‘graveyard for traitors’,” the mayor said. “All those who will be visiting this place will curse those buried in it, and they will not find peace in their graves.”

Topbas also said that the authorities of Ordu province refused to provide the space for burial of participants of the failed coup.

“One family had to take the body, and bury it in your own garden. Congratulations to the head of the province “, – said the mayor of Istanbul.

The mayor pointed out that killed coup plotters can not be buried in the graveyard of the nameless, as religious people are buried there.

“I believe that [the plotters] will not avoid falling into hell. But we must make the world unbearable for them,” Topbas said.
